Learn to Knit - you will learn to cast on, knit and purl stitches, ribbing and casting off.

Dates:

Tuesday 10:30 - 12:30 June 2, 9, 16, 23

Wednesday 10:30 - 12:30 June 3, 10, 17, 24

Saturday 10:30 - 12:30 June 6, 13, 20, 27

Cost: $45 for four 2-hour session plus materials:

  • Approx. 200 yds. worsted weight yarn (lighter colors are easiest to see)
  • US #7 or #8 needles
  • How to Knit Book is recommended.

Intermediate Knitting- you will learn how to increase and decrease, how to read a

pattern and identify stitch textures. MUST have knowledge of basic knitting stitches.

Project suggestions: Silk Merino Fingerless Gloves, Barb's Koigu Ruffle, Little Ruff (Potato chip scarf) and more.


SUMMER WORKSHOP FOR YOUNG KNITTERS 

Sheryl will be teaching both beginning and intermediate young knitting students ages 8 and up. New students will learn knitting basics and students with some knitting skills can continue to advance at their own rate. Class will be held on Thursdays from 1:00pm until 2:30pm. Cost: $35.00 for 4 sessions Dates: June 18, 25, July 2, 9 Supplies: Yarn and needles appropriate to yarn (yarn must be purchased at our store) *Students must be 8 years and older. Class size 2 to 5 students.



PROJECT HELP WITH LISA

Great American Afghan Square of the Month with Lisa -  
 
There are four books in this collection of designer afghan squares. Pick one or more and select 20 or 24 
squares to make your custom throw.  Some are simple, some demand more attention, all are original 
designs. Use all or pick your favorites for that one of a kind original. Finished measurements 4' x 6' 
using 24 squares.  We will be knitting at least one square each month for the next 24 months.  
Join for as many sessions as you wish.  Worsted weight yarn such as Cascade 220 or 
Stonehedge Shepherd's Wool is required along with size 7 or 8 needles.  
 
This class will be offered on the fourth Saturday every month.

specializes in designing and weaving handwoven fabrics.

Supplies: Cricket Loom or Ashford Loom (several sizes available for sale) 2 skeins of yarn for a scarf (to be purchased at our shop) 

**Loom should be assembled before the first class and yarn should be wound ready to begin weaving.**
